The paper <a href=\"http:\/\/library.fes.de\/pdf-files\/iez\/17534-20210311.pdf\">\u2018Crossing the Divide: Informal Workers and Trade Unions Building power\u2019<\/a> is now available to view and download.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper was produced by GLI Manchester for the  <br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fes.de\/\">Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES)<\/a> as a follow-up to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fes.de\/en\/themenportal-gewerkschaften-und-gute-arbeit\/international-trade-union-policy\/trade-unions-in-transformation\">Trade Unions in Transformation <\/a>project of the FES Global Trade Union Programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper reflects experiences and policies from examples of \norganisations across the spectrum of those with an interest in \nrelationships between informal worker organisations and the trade union \nmovement. This includes both international and national organisations, \nand national trade union centres and national sector-based unions and \nassociations. The major focus is on informal worker organisation in \nAsia, Africa and Latin America, but includes some perspectives from \norganisations in the global North representing precarious and informal \nworkers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper is available in <a href=\"http:\/\/library.fes.de\/pdf-files\/iez\/17534-20210311.pdf\">English<\/a> and in <a href=\"http:\/\/library.fes.de\/pdf-files\/iez\/17535.pdf\">French<\/a>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-small-font-size has-vivid-red-color\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gli-manchester.net\/\">GLI Manchester<\/a> is a  \nnot-for-profit company, working closely with a range of global union  \nfederations, national trade  unions, research institutions and workers\u2019 \n education organisations. It conducts education, capacity-building and  \nresearch on  international  labour movement development and organising  \nstrategies.
