{"id":4751,"date":"2022-03-08T11:15:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-08T11:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gli-network.net\/?p=4751"},"modified":"2022-11-10T12:10:15","modified_gmt":"2022-11-10T12:10:15","slug":"all-for-one-one-for-all-a-gender-equality-guide-for-trade-unionists-in-iuf-sectors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gli-network.net\/?p=4751","title":{"rendered":"GLI Manchester: All for One = One for All: A Gender Equality Guide for Trade Unionists in IUF Sectors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On International Women&#8217;s Day 2022, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iuf.org\/\">International Union of Foodworkers (IUF)<\/a>&nbsp;has published the guide&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gli-manchester.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/2022-All-for-One-One-for-All-A-Gender-Equality-Guide-for-Trade-Unionists-in-IUF-Sectors.pdf\">&#8216;All for One = One for All: A Gender Equality Guide for Trade Unionists in IUF Sectors.&#8217;<\/a>&nbsp;This guide was produced for the IUF by GLI Manchester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on a previous guide the IUF published in 2007 &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iuf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/2.-All-for-One-One-for-All.pdf\">\u2018All for One = One for All\u2019<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; this new guide is updated and extended with new chapters and stories. It intends to foster equality by promoting solidarity, building union strength and tackling the inequality issues that women face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This guide is for everyone who wants to make the union stronger and more representative by promoting gender equality &#8211; at work, in society and in the union. But as this is a guide on gender equality &#8211; and historically women have been marginalised &#8211; it focuses mainly on women&#8217;s experiences.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shaped by the experiences of IUF affiliated unions, this guide is supported by the stories of women from all over the world who have experienced inequality and have organised in response. It conducts education, capacity-building and research on international labour movement development and organising strategies. It specialises in political education, organisation and trade union policy with informal economy workers, and the design and management of international workers\u2019 education programmes.
